The Scripps National Spelling Bee is led by its purpose to help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. With the uncertain circumstances currently surrounding our education system, we know teachers are being pushed outside of their comfort zones with virtual schooling, and parents are often forced to step into the unfamiliar role of educator.

In an effort to help educators and fulfill our purpose to students, we have created an email newsletter with free resources for parents. These emails will include a variety of resources for first through eighth grade students, including spelling lists, vocabulary worksheets and resources for some of the Bee's favorite books.

We hope these emails will help enrich a virtual language arts lesson, engage a student who is home from school or provide a fun activity for the entire family to do together.
